Stake 2.0 energy
Stake 2.0 on TRON: lock TRX to mint energy or bandwidth, delegate resource to another address, and unstake with an unlock delay.
Definition
Stake 2.0 is TRON’s current staking model. You stake TRX, choose energy or bandwidth, optionally delegate that resource, and later unstake with an unlock wait before TRX withdraws. It replaces the older freeze flow for new locks while wallets still mix the words.
Energy under Stake 2.0 is the same prepaid compute; the new surface is delegation and the explicit unstake delay.
How it appears on-chain
Stake transactions increase frozen/staked TRX and the matching resource limit. DelegateResource points energy or bandwidth at another T-address for a lock. Undelegate reverses that after the lock. Unstake starts the wait; withdraw finishes it.
If you read only EnergyLimit, you will miss whether the ceiling is your stake or someone else’s delegation. The delegated-energy checker exists for that split.
How this checker shows it
Frozen and energy screens together tell you whether Stake 2.0 is producing the meter you need. This site does not stake, delegate, or unstake. Optional deep scan does not either — read-only, about 2–3 TRX.
Use TronLink to sign Stake 2.0 operations. Use this desk to read the result on a public address.
Common confusion
People expect instant unstake because older mental models of “unfreeze” were already impatient. Stake 2.0 makes the wait obvious. People also expect to undelegate during the delegation lock. The chain says no, on purpose.
Rental markets are Stake 2.0 delegation with a price tag. If a market cannot show DelegateResource, it is not using Stake 2.0; it is using your panic.
Related mechanics
Freeze is the legacy word. Delegate is how energy moves. Burn is what Stake 2.0 is designed to make unnecessary for routine USDT. Bandwidth is the other resource you might stake instead.

FAQ
What is Stake 2.0?
TRON’s current staking design: stake TRX for energy or bandwidth, delegate if you want, unstake with an unlock wait.
Does Stake 2.0 mint energy automatically?
If you stake targeting energy, EnergyLimit should rise after confirmation. Targeting bandwidth mints bandwidth instead.
Can I delegate energy under Stake 2.0?
Yes. DelegateResource points your minted energy at another address for a lock period.
Why is unstake delayed?
Protocol unlock wait. It is not a wallet bug and not something a seed-phrase site can skip.
Is Stake 2.0 the same as renting?
Renting uses Stake 2.0 delegation from the seller. Your own stake is you minting energy without a vendor.
Do I stake on this website?
No. Stake in TronLink. We read public fields only.
Will you ask for a seed to explain Stake 2.0?
Never.
